The first a circular box and cover of
compressed globular form; the second a
toggle carved as young child crawling amid
lingzhi fungus branches and a double gourd
(chips); the third a hairpin with shou medallion
centering the undercut cloud collar finial,
now attached as the handle to a pewter fork;
the fourth a curving strap-type hair pin with
reticulated finial combining a shou character
and linghzi fungus plant, now attached to a
polychrome enameled metal ash tray with
green enamel ground; the last combining two
hairpin fragments together to form the handle
on a polychrome enameled metal ash tray with
blue enamel ground. [5]

A GROUP OF NINE SMALL JADE AND
HARDSTONE CARVINGS
The first of a flower head to the left of two
hanging gourds showing russet patches;
the second retaining the mottled skin on the
boulder used for a large leaf to one side of the
deeply undercut and perforated double gourd;
the third of a monkey perched on two gourds;
the fourth of an insect climbing up one side
of two gourds, gold suspension loop; the fifth
a deeply undercut carp enveloped by lingzhi
fungus; the sixth a russet-stained recumbent
qilin; the seventh a domical basket of the Hehe
twins issuing a flowering branch; the eighth of
a dragon fish atop the intertwined stems and
leaf of a lotus plant; the ninth of an archaistic A GROUP OF FOUR JADE RETICULATED
ax separating two facing dragons, white metal
suspension loop (some carvings with chips).

A GROUP OF FOUR CARVED WHITE JADE
DECORATIONS
The first a pieced and reticulated cylindrical
pendant of a dragon chasing a flaming pearl,
with knotted cord mount; the second a pebble-
form finial deeply undercut as two young
dragons entwined in lingzhi fungus, the stone
with russet markings and the flat base with
drill holes for attachment to another surface
(chipped); the third a well-carved plaque,
finished to both sides as a stylized phoenix; the
last a figural plaque depicting the immortal Cao
Guojiu holding clappers (chipped) mounted to
an enameled silver wire mount.

A GROUP OF TEN SMALL JADEITE
PENDANTS
Varying in color from very pale greenish white
to mottled dark leaf green, combined with
veins of gold, lavender and brilliant leaf green:
four involving gourds or fruit; two incorporating
dragons in the design; one of a bamboo
branch and another of a lingzhi fungus branch;
and two circular roundels, one deeply undercut
as a bat and endless knot, the other centered
with a five petal flower below a scroll and cash-
patterned suspension loop.

CIRCULAR PLAQUES
The largest with scalloped edges, reticulated
and engraved on one side as a dragon and
phoenix amid flowering branches; the second
finished on both sides and also framed with
a scalloped edge surrounding a fu-character
set amid leaf scrolls; and a pair reticulated with US$1,000 - 1,500
shuangxi characters set amid flower and leaf
branches that form a scalloped border to the
edges, also with engraved details on both sides.

HARDSTONE CARVINGS
The first a thinly sectioned circular pendant
reticulated and finished on both sides as a bird
perched on a blossoming branch framed by a
pearl band; the second a rounded rectangular
plaque with scalloped borders that frame
a young boy holding lingzhi branches, the
reverse deeply hollowed, cursorily polished and
the frame drilled with holes for attachment to
another surface; the third a small libation cup
in the form of a hollowed lotus leaf rising from
a stem that is undercut on one side (chipped):
the last a very shallowly recessed tray in the
shape of a grape leaf hanging from a fruiting
vine (chipped).

A GROUP OF ELEVEN JADE AND
HARDSTONE DECORATIONS
The first a white jade pendant reticulated
as a vase surrounded by lingzhi fungus
branches; the second a gray-green rectangular
abstinence plaque with dragons framing a
rectangular reserve showing traces of the
characters zhi jie polished off; the third a
greenish-white roundel perforated as a dragon
and pearl amid clouds, the gilt metal mount
stamped China; the fourth a reticulated flower
basket plaque now mounted as a lamp finial;
the fifth an archaistic axe-head pendant
incised with a taotie mask band; the sixth a
green and white jadeite pebble shaped plaque
partially hollowed and carved with a crane
and dragon fish; the seventh a toroid bangle
of pale greenish-white jadeite with tiny veins
of pale emerald green; the eighth an amethyst
plaque undercut as two peaches and a flower
head, mounted in a polychrome enameled
silver brooch; and three other thinly sectioned
pendants carved as fruit hanging from leafy
stems, one of carnelian and two of lapis lazuli
(some with tiny chips).
