a pavilion surrounded by trees and rockwork, adorned in gilt and raised and undercut leafy branches bearing an additional peony flower;
polychrome pigments, inscribed Cheng Junfang Zhi on the left and a leafy fruit group decorated with incised diamond patterns enclosing
bearing the date Tianqi yuan nian on the right. 1 3/4 x 4 1/4in swastika symbols and flower-heads, and a gourd-form plaque carved
(4.45 x 10.9cm) in relief with leafy vines on one side, the reverse decorated with a toad
breathing out swirling vapor.
