Thickly potted and rising to a flared neck, the globular body leaning Of tapered barrel-shape, the tokkuri molded with figure horizontal
slightly to one side and supported by a slightly flared foot ring “bands” fashioned around vertical “slats”, the flat shoulder decorated
surrounded by a recessed base, the clear glaze covering all surfaces with ju characters enclosed by a gilt karakusa ground below the short,
except the foot pad. everted rim.
