blossoming branches; a famille verte scholar
on a square pedestal; and an octagonal
powder blue famille verte dish with a central
medallion of phoenix in a landscape and
naturalistic reserves to the border.

BLUE GROUND TRIPLE-GOURD VASE
Kangxi
The dish decorated with panels of peonies,
chrysanthemums and blossoming prunus
amongst rockwork, within floral diaper
pattern borders; the vase decorated with
panels of birds and butterflies amongst
blossoming trees and flowering plants. The
dish: 27.2cm (10 3/4in) high (2).

Qing Dynasty
The body depicting boys and ladies playing
in a garden setting, the shoulder with
precious objects cartouches against a green
diaper ground, the top of the neck with
stylised bamboo branches below the everted
mouth and in between underglaze blue
bands.
