foot rest, the chair backed by a long pushing
handle, all supported on four wheels. 100cm

18th century
Each with a woven fibre seat above X-form
supports, the tallest chair with a strait toprail
and a roundel on the curved splat carved
with an image of a chilong, the smallest with
an ‘official’s hat’ top rail, above a curved
splat carved with a central mythical beast
roundel and a half-opened medallion at the
bottom.
The largest: 92.5cm (36 3/8in) high x 44.7cm
(17 5/8in) wide x 34cm (13 3/8in) deep (2).
