A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE ‘MELONS’ BOWLS
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF
THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

Each bowl is decorated to the exterior with bitter melons and bamboo sprays that
continue over the rim into the interior. There is a butterfy in fight depicted to the
exterior and another one to the interior.
