Qing dynasty
Of rectangular form with a hinged cover opening to reveal a
shallow mixed wood fitted tray, the corners of the box, cover
and tray reinforced with brass brackets, the corners of the top
panel fitted with ruyi-form brass mounts, the front fitted with a
circular escutcheon and ruyi-form hasp over the beaded lips of
the box and cover, the sides with bail handles.
