Each fgure is modelled forward-facing wearing a
soldier’s cap, robes, a breastplate and boots. One
fgure has his right hand lifted holding a bronze
spear.

A PAIR OF PAINTED POTTERY HORSES
AND RIDERS
HAN DYNASTY (206 BC-220 AD)
Each horse is modelled standing foursquare
with its head held high and ears pricked forward,
painted with a white saddle and trappings. The
riders are depicted with hands stretched out as if
holding reins, with details of the faces painted in
black.
