gourds with associated leaves and tendrils, the stone with splashes of
emerald green; with a gilt metal ringed mount.

The various stones including jadeite, tourmaline, sapphire and
aquamarine attached either as teardrop pendants or set into elaborate
silver wire mounts; the clasp stamped sterling above the seal possibly
reading yin (silver).

Republic period
The first designed as two Buddha’s hand citrons, carved from apple green
stones with pale russet and lighter color inclusions; the second reticulated
as two double-happiness characters, the stones of mottled emerald green;
the third of simple ring form inlaid with small green jadeite beads; the fourth
of fine filigree work, designed as a pair of leafy melons, with inlaid green
jadeite and hardstone cabochons; each with screw mount.

A carved white jade covered box
Qing dynasty
The ovoid-shaped box with a short support, its stepped lip fitted with
a gently convex cover carved in high relief with a floating leafy branch
bearing large chrysanthemum blossoms; the off-white stone cast with
cloud-like and pale gray inclusions, as well as russet-stained fissure lines.

A fine pomegranate-form jade covered box
18th/19th century
Fashioned with ridged and carefully contoured side walls rising from
a slightly recessed base, the cover carved as a ripe pomegranate
bursting open to reveal the seeds, further decorated with a cicada
on a curving leafy branch; the white stone with a very subtle celadon
tone, polished to a soft luster.

Jade plaque 19th century
The jade plaque with ruyi head-silhouetted corners, crisply carved
with a central double-happiness character between a bat and a
peach branch, well fitted to a conforming hongmu box supported by
small flared ruyi-shaped feet.
