A pair of famille verte oviform vases and covers
19th century
Painted in mirror image, depicting a scene from ‘The Romance of the
Western Chamber’, with Zhang Sheng kneeling before Cui Yingying’s
mother in an elegant interior, two attendants readying a horse in the
fenced garden, Yingying viewed through a window, seated reading at a
table, wood stands.

between two key fret borders at the foot and rim.

A famille verte powder-blue ground rouleau vase
19th/20th century
Enamelled in the Kangxi style with panels enclosing phoenix amongst
peony, cranes and bats above waves and under peach trees,
interspersed with shaped cartouches with insects and flowers, the
neck with further scenes of mythical beasts, all reserved against a rich
powder-blue ground.
