Comprising a teapot and cover, milk jug and
sugar bowl, modelled with simulated bamboo
branch handles, each with a central shield
form plaque bearing the monogram ‘MR’
with repousse decoration of birds in dense
bamboo groves.

17th/18th century
The lobed rectangular shape flanked by deep
straight sides, incised and gilded to the centre
with cranes and other birds alighting amongst
clouds above the Three Friends of Winter,
pine, bamboo and prunus, issuing from
craggy rocks.
