A pale green and russet jade
plaque
17th/18th century
The shaped rectangular form carved in high
relief to one side with a cat clambering atop
a rocky outcrop issuing leafy branches and
lingzhi, a small bird alighting above, the
reverse in shallow relief with a sinuous chilong
above waves and below clouds, the stone
of a pale green tone with mottled white and
russet inclusions.

Two carved with double ‘xi’ characters, one
surmounted by a butterfly; and the third in the
form of a double gourd, with an articulated
pierced shou roundel, flanked by double bats.
