 ON A THRONE, MING
 China, late 16th – mid-17th century. Ink and color on silk. The
 Bodhisattva, probably Akasagarbha, is portrayed seated on a
 sumptuous throne in front of a circular halo, flanked by four dragons,
 wearing long flowing and embroidered robes and an enameled gold
 crown, holding a scepter. (2)
