                                                                     China, 18th-19th century. All four finely painted in subdued
                                                                     polychrome watercolors and black ink with depictions of
                                                                     scholars and their attendants in monumental landscapes with
                                                                     rocky peaks, waterfalls, lakes, pavilions, pine and wutong trees.
                                                                     Each with a European frame, passepartout and glass mounting.

                                                                     only.
                                                                     Provenance: English private estate.

                                                                     Dimensions: 49 x 29 cm each (the pictures) and 69 x 52 cm
                                                                     (including frames).
                                                                     One painting with apocryphal four-character signature Jinchang
                                                                     Tang Yin and seal in the upper left corner, homage to TANG Yin
                                                                     (1470-1523).
