           A MASSIVE BLUE AND WHITE ‘LOTUS’ JAR, GUAN        The shoulders of the present lot are decorated with the yingluo (瓔
           Jiajing six-character mark and of the period      珞) pattern. The yingluo pattern derives from the jewellery of stringed

           the shoulders with jewelled strings suspending stylised chimes, above   by the Indian aristocracy and commonly seen on Buddhist sculpture.

           CNY180,000 - 270,000                              and of the period, belonged to the Safavid Shahs of Persia and was
