A DOUCAI ‘LOTUS SCROLL’ SAUCER DISH
18th century
The shallow sides rising from a short foot, painted
to the interior with a central medallion depicting
a blossoming lotus surrounded by scrolling leafy
tendrils, the cavetto similarly decorated, the exterior
with three flowering sprigs.
