GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF SEATED

NORTHERN ZHOU-SUI DYNASTY (AD 557-618)
鎏金銅彌勒菩薩坐像
The bodhisattva is shown seated with legs pendent in 來源
bhadrasana (the benevolence pose) on a waisted, hourglass- Sogoro Noda 珍藏,京都,入藏於 1955 年以前
shaped stool. The right hand is raised in abhayamudra and the 彭楷棟(新田棟一)珍藏,入藏於 1987 年以前
left hand is held in varadamudra. He is wearing a dhoti folded
over at the waist that falls in U-shaped folds to the hem above 展覽
