Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
Finely decorated in enamels and gilt with a snowscape depicting
rural families at their daily chores or at leisure beside their thatched
dwellings, two hunters with dogs in the foreground, young boys
rolling a snowball on the right, a woman serving two customers in a
teahouse on the left, pagodas set among mountainous landscape in
the distance, within a simulated bamboo frame; unsigned.

A Porcelain Pear-Shaped Vase
Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, 1900s
Set on a slightly splayed foot and decorated with an all-over design
of chidori (plovers) skimming over foaming waves moulded in low relief,
covered with a celadon glaze; signed on the base Seifu.
