with a clump of blooming purple and pink body writhing across the upper section of the summer blooms including aoi (hollyhock),
irises on a hammered and stippled, graduated vase, the neck and foot with shield-shaped kiku (chrysanthemum), hagi (bush clover),
cobalt-blue ground, stamped on the base with panels enclosing repeated foliate motifs; suisen (narcissi), and iigiri (idesia polycarpa),
the mark of Ota Toshiro; with a wood stand. signed on the base with the flower mark three butterflies hovering on the reverse, the
10.2cm (4in) high. (2). of Tsukamoto Hikokichi. neck and foot with botan (peony) interwoven
