LATE QING DYNASTY
The dragons picked out in gold thread, the
scaly beasts chase flaming pearls amidst clouds,
cranes, bats and the Anbaxian, all above a raging
sea and lishui waves, 215cm across, 139cm long.

‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’ WAISTCOAT
QING DYNASTY
Decorated with phoenix and dragons in flight
amidst bats, blossoming flowers and clouds, the
design reserved on a dark blue ground, all over
rolling waves and large peony blooms, with a
bright blue silk lining, 69cm across, 92cm long.

EMBROIDERED SILK ‘DRAGON’ ROBE
LATE QING DYNASTY
Decorated with a large confronting dragon in
pursuit of a flaming pearl, with Liu Hai and his
three-legged toad in boats below, the reverse
with a further dragon amidst floral sprays,
172cm across, 100cm long.
