QING DYNASTY OR LATER
Carved as a luohan holding a small lion dog in his arms, the pup rests his
front paws on the man’s shoulder and nibbles at one of his hoop earrings,
with character medallions and cloud wisps incised to the figure’s robes, the
reverse signed Yuxuan (Yang), together with an oval soapstone stand finely
incised with flowerheads and scrolling foliage on a stylised wave ground,
12.5cm overall. (2)
