     KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

     The brush pot is of waisted form, painted in a vibrant blue tone to
     depict a continuous mountain and river landscape, richly detailed
     with pagodas among trees and jagged mountains, figures engaged
     at various activities such as carrying portable racks, studying, and
     fishing in boats on the river.
