           in the left, the corpulent body of the figure
           adorned with beaded jewellery and a snake, all
           atop a lotus base

           INFANT BUDDHA
           QING DYNASTY, 17TH – 18TH
           CENTURY
           Avalokiteshvara cast seated in rajalilasana with
           a bird and a vase on either side, supported on a
           bracketed plinth; the infant Buddha cast with his
           left arm pointing at the heavens and his right arm
           at the earth, atop a double lotus base
