CARVING
Song Dynasty or later
The mythical character covered in a deer pelt
and carrying a pail in his right hand; and a
russet and pale green jade horse buckle, with
carved dragon head hook and circular boss to
the reverse, 17th century.

The single-horned recumbent beast facing
forwards, with scrolling wings extending
upwards from the front haunches, the bushy
tail flicked over the rear left haunch, the pale
green stone with russet and some mottled
grey inclusions.
