A THAI OR BURMESE SILVER STEM BOWL AND COVER
19th/20th century
Formed as a porcelain bowl and footed cover, flanked with beast mask
loose-ring handles, raised on a stem with garuda birds on a foliate
plinth, one side of the bowl with an inscription in Chinese characters
dated 1960. 31cm (12 1/4in) high (2).

Meiji or Taisho Period
Cast in high relief in the form of a tied straw bale, with wild flowers
and grasses, the reverse inscribed, the circular cover cast in bronze
and fitted with a floret finial, signed on the underside of the cover
Ryobundo. 13.3cm (5.1/4in) high excluding the handle. (2).
