A RARE FAMILLE ROSE EXPORT ‘BUDDHIST LION’ EWER AND
COVER
18th century
Formed as an Islamic style ewer enamelled with dragons, with an
upright spout, the lid with lion finial, flanked by a playful Buddhist lion
standing on a brocade ball, all raised on a square plinth with a ruyi-
head border.
