A LARGE PINK-GROUND PAINTED ENAMEL BOX AND COVER
19th century
Painted with character panels surrounding a central shou roundel, on a
vibrant pink enamel ground reserved with butterflies, bats and insects
amongst a profusion of finger citron, peach sprays, lotus, peonies,
chrysanthemums and further leafy flowering stems, the cover interior
with a black and gilt medallion similarly decorated on a pink enamelled
ground.

The quatre-lobed rectangular plaque enamelled with an auspicious
scene with female deities bringing a child to a scholar official on a
bridge, with an elaborate silver wire-inlaid carved hardwood stand.
