         A RARE YIXING BAMBOO SHOOT-
         FORM WATER DROPPER
         SIGNED CHEN MINGYUAN, KANGXI PERIOD
         (1662-1722)
         The vessel is naturalistically potted in the form of
         a bamboo shoot, combed with incised fine lines in
         imitation of the skin, the narrow tip with a small
         aperture as an outlet. A small clam is attached on
         one side near the base. The base is impressed with
         a four-character seal, reading Chen Mingyuan zhi.
