A MARBLE CARVING OF A CELESTIAL ATTENDANT
India, 20th century
The architectural fragment carved and undercut as a lithe beauty
lavishly adorned with jewels and portrayed in a classic dance pose
with her legs flexed and one foot partially raised, her right hand with
an elegant gesture held to the front while the other is held to the
back of her head (wear to the stone).
