          A GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
          17TH CENTURY
          Of compressed form, the censer is raised on three short, tapering feet and
          applied with two upright loop handles on the rim. The base of the censer is
          cast with an apocryphal Xuande mark and the interior is cast with a sixteen-
          character inscription incorporating an apocryphal Xuande date, reading Da
          Ming Xuande wunian Jiandu Gongbu guanchen Wu Bangzuo zao (Made by Wu
          Bangzuo, supervisor of the Ministry of Works, in the 5th year of Xuande of the
          Great Ming).

          A BRONZE BOTTLE VASE
          17TH CENTURY
          The slender neck is cast with a wide geometric band. The base is cast with an
          inscription in seal script reading da ningchang chen Su Hanchen jian du Jiang
          shi zhu Zhide tan yong, which may be translated as 'under the supervision of
          Officer Su Hanchen at the Da Ning workshop, Madame Jiang cast [this item]
          for the Zhide Altar.'
