AN UNUSUAL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL-INSET GILT-BRONZE RUYI
SCEPTER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The intricately cast gilt-bronze scepter is inset on the top with three cloisonné
enamel panels, each with a lotus bloom, and with two small circular panels,
each with a shou character. The underside is decorated with gilt lotus scroll on
a blue-enamel ground.
