A WHITE MARBLE FIGURE OF A LION A SMALL GREEN-GLAZED TRIPOD JAR AND COVER
The figure is shown seated on a rocky base with the front left paw raised. TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
10æ in. (27.2 cm.) long The small jar of compressed globular form with an everted rim is raised on
three short cabriole supports, and is covered overall with a soft green glaze
$7,000-10,000 suffused with fine crackles. The cover with a small bud finial is similarly glazed.
