           A BRONZE JAR, HU
           HAN DYNASTY (3RD CENTURY BC-3RD CENTURY AD)

           漢 青銅雙獸活環耳壺

           The compressed globular body is cast with raised concentric rings, decorated to the sides with a pair
           of monster-mask handles with loose rings, supported on a tall spreading foot with vertical fanges. The
           bronze has a dark greenish-grey patina with areas of encrustation.
