明萬曆 青花雙龍戲珠紋銀錠式蓋盒
《大明萬曆年製》款
painted in vivid shades of cobalt blue on the cover with a cartouche enclosing two confronting five-clawed dragons
contesting a flaming pearl, the sides similarly decorated with dragons striding amongst clouds, separated by
decorative chevron bands at the rims, the base inscribed with a vertical six-character reign mark

The form of the present box, modelled after ingots, is 銀錠之形，嘉靖首創，萬曆延製，但傳世例器甚罕。相
highly unusual. The production of wares of this shape 類蓋盒，巴黎吉美國立亞洲藝術博物館有藏，見 Daisy
began in the Jiajing period (1522-1566) and continued Lion-Goldschmidt，《Ming Porcelain》，弗里堡，
in the Wanli reign (1573-1620), but extant examples are 1978年，圖版213。鮑氏典藏一盒，刊於約翰．艾爾
