                                                             The open flat surface in the form of stylised rockwork, with pine
                                                             motifs around the exterior, a well carved to one side of the interior to
                                                             contain water, box.

                                                             A LARGE RECTANGULAR INKSTONE
                                                             Qing Dynasty
                                                             Carved to the exterior with figures at leisure in a pavilion garden,
                                                             the interior inscription relates to ‘蘭亭集序 Lantingji Xu’, a Chinese
                                                             calligraphy work generally considered to be written by the well-
                                                             known calligrapher Wang Xizhi (303 – 361) from the Eastern Jin
                                                             Dynasty (317 – 420).
