The original Xuande-period prototypes were inspired by Islamic
geometric patterns, highlighting the significant cross-cultural links
between China and the Middle East at that time.
Compare with a similar blue and white jarlet, Yongzheng six-character
mark and of the period, which was sold at Sotheby’s New York,
12 September 2018, lot 147.
