Carved as a Shishi with an impish expression and inlaid horn pupils,
depicted in mid-leap with its hind legs extended over a stand of
peonies, and the front legs on a section of rockwork. The carving is
Compactly carved as a hooded kitsune (fox), almost completely
executed in sukashi-bori (openwork), a technique which Kagetoshi
