A LARGE BRONZE BUDDHIST LION GROUP
Qing Dynasty
The beasts cast with bulging eyes and open
mouths revealing sharp teeth, the bodies detailed
with curling manes and flame-like bushy tails, the
larger beast playfully bearing down on the lying
smaller lion, all supported on a shaped oval stand
supported on five legs joined by a stretcher.
