A GREENISH-WHITE JADE FIGURE OF SEATED
BUDDHA
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The figure is modelled seated in dhyanasana with hands held
together in dhyana mudra, dressed in long, flowing robes over the
shoulders left open at the chest to expose a waist-tied dhoti, the
serene face with a benevolent expression beneath. The stone is
of an even pale greenish-white tone. The figure has two original
small drilled holes on the base.
