A CORAL SNUFF BOTTLE A BLUE-GLAZED MOLDED SNUFF BOTTLE
Early 20th century 1796-1820
Of cylindrical form with a flat everted lip and supported by a round Of compressed ovoid form with a corresponding stopper and flat gilt
foot rim, the body deftly carved in high relief with a scene of Zhinu, the lip, with a leiwen band at the neck and ruyi lappets at the shoulder,
weaving maiden, and Niulang, the oxherd. the body deeply reticulated with nine lion dogs chasing beribboned
2in (5cm) high balls on a cloud ground, with an unglazed oval foot rim surrounding a
$5,000 - 7,000 concave blue-glazed foot.
