Qianlong period
The box of bombe-form, finely painted on the hinged cover with
a central cartouche enclosing a Chinese landscape scene with
river, pavilions and mountains, set against a blue leaf-scroll ground,
repeated around the sides with landscape panels set against a pink
lotus-scroll ground, opening to reveal a large landscape scene on the
interior of the cover, the underside enameled with melons, leaves and
vines, the gold rim inset with three diamonds.
