PEAR-SHAPED VASE, YUHUCHUPING, bird on a rock between flying birds and insects. A long hairline crack going horizontal to the body, firing imperfections
CHINA, 17TH CENTURY and 4 cm hairline on the mouth rim.
The vase is well potted with a pear-shaped
body supported on a short foot rising to a 38 cm high, 30 cm wide
slender flaring neck with a wide flared mouth
rim, the main body decorated with a € 500 – 800
continuous decoration of peony and lotus
blossoms borne on a slender scrolling stem, Provenance: from the private collection of a Lady in south of Italy, and thence descendants
the neck is encircled by a band of upright
stylized plantain leaves. In good condition,
minor firing imperfection.
