the beast carved recumbent with forelegs outstretched and the bifurcated
tail sweeping around either side of the hind legs, the head with large
bulging eyes, raised and turned to the left, clasping a leafy lingzhi spray
in its ferocious jaws, the stone of very pale celadon-white colour
