           Resting on a broken section of bamboo, its fleshy body kept in a   Carved in relief, with a small spider crawling towards the narrow tip,

           delineated with ukibori, the wood slightly worn; signed Shokiku saku   kuni no junin (a resident of Iwami Province) with a kao.
