ROSE HEXAGONAL LANTERNS
QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH
CENTURY
comprising a pair of faceted ovoid-form lanterns
with ared crowns, the pierced sides of each
with a ‘ oral’ medallion in the center, the borders
and horizontal registers brightly enameled
with scrolling owers and leaves; and a faceted
columnar lantern with a similar decorative
scheme; each with a conforming pedestal base

the pierced panel on each side with a gural
medallion in the center, the borders neatly
painted with a oral diaper pattern, the diaper
repeating on the conforming bases pierced with
orets in the central panels (4)
