MARK AND PERIOD OF YONGZHENG
清雍正 青花纏枝花卉紋鳩耳壺
《大清雍正年製》款
of bronze hu shape, flanked by a pair of stylised turtledove-
shaped handles, each surmounted by a spiralled knop and
suspending a mock ring, brilliantly painted in a simulated
early Ming 'heaping and piling' style with a broad composite
scroll bearing blooms including lotus, chrysanthemum and
hibiscus, between bands of petal lappets and ruyi, the neck
collared with a continuous foliate scroll of stylised lotus
between a slightly raised fillet joining the handles and a
border of waves at the rim, the foot decorated by a classic
foliate scroll, the base inscribed with a six-character reign
mark
