                                                                      red, the black-lacquer undercoat faintly
                                                                      showing through in some places, the rim and
                                                                      reverse lacquered black, the area within the
                                                                      footring inlaid in shell with five floral motifs;
                                                                      with a wood storage box.

                                                                      A circular turned-wood tray, the top lacquered
                                                                      red, the black-lacquer undercoat showing
                                                                      through where the turned surfaces meet,
                                                                      at the rim and on the footring, the base
                                                                      lacquered brown; with a wood tomobako
                                                                      storage box inscribed outside Reibon Kongo-
                                                                      in 礼盆 金剛院 (Ceremonial tray, Diamond
                                                                      Hall), referring to the temple building where
                                                                      the tray was once used.
