AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE SILVER POURING VESSEL, YI
Yuan Dynasty
The vessel of circular form with deep sides resting on a slightly
concave base, one side set with an outward-flaring spout, the interior
incised with a central medallion depicting three hares beneath a
symbol to the base of the spout, finely decorated on the exterior with a
band of scrolling foliage beneath the rim and blossoming lotus beneath
the spout.
