The current work is from a distinct tradition known as ‘Karma Gardri’, created
Amnye Cha Kyung in the collection of the Rubin Museum of Art, New York
by the eighteenth century Kagyu lama Situ Panchen (1700-1744), associated
(acc. no. C2006.66.8, Himalayan Art Resource item no. 141).
