TIANQIUPING
Qianlong seal mark, late Qing Dynasty
The tubular neck and globular body painted with a stylised, large-
headed lotus meander, under a ruyi band at the rim, and separated
by a thick band of scrolling foliage interspersed with Buddhist
symbols at the shoulder.

Provenance
The Estate of Mr. Roy Moodie. Mr. Roy Moodie had a successful
banking career with the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking
Corporation in the 1950’s, where he rose to a senior position in the
company. It was this time spent in the Far East that encouraged his
love and lifelong interest in Chinese artefacts.
